Piata imobiliara din Romania a cunoscut o evolutie sinuasa de la Revolutie pana in prezent.  
Odata cu dezvoltarea economica a Romaniei, intrarea de noi companii pe piata locala, imbatranirea stocului prezent de locuinte si migratia spre marile orase, nevoia de proprietati imobiliare a crescut.
Totusi ritmul de dezvoltare al noilor constructii a fost devansat in mod evident de catre cerere.
Acest decalaj in continua crestere dintre cerere si oferta atat pe palierul rezidential, terenuri, industrial cat si spatii de birouri, a determinat o evolutie ascendenta a preturilor imobiliarelor.

In prezent sectorul imobiliarelor este unul din principalele motoare de crestere economica din Romania. Conform analistilor numai in 2007 sectorul a cunoscut o creste cu 30% fata de anul anterior in timp ce volumul investitiilor totale in domeniu, doar in Bucuresti a atins cifra record de 2,5 miliarde euro. Cum nu se intrevede o scadere semnificativa a ritmului de crestere economica, iar puterea de cumparare a romanilor se estimeaza ca va creste, piata imobiliara romanesca se contureaza ca una din  cele mai atractive din Europa.  
Desi stocul total de spatii de birouri a cunoscut o crestere importanta in 2007, cu peste 50% fata de 2006, iar stocul de spatii spatii comerciale si industriale sau dublat, oferta continua sa ramana mult sub cerere. Stocul total de spatii de birouri in Bucuresti estimat pentru sfarsitul anului 2008 se situeaza in jurul valorii de 1.000.000 mp.
In conditiile in care acest stoc este unul din cele mai mici comparativ cu alte capitale europene, potentialul de crestere al pietei locale apare ca exceptional. Pe langa investiile din Bucuresti noi investitii incep sa se contureze si in celelalte orase majore din tara.

Acest decalaj semnificativ intre cerere si oferta a atras in ultimii ani un numar mare de fonduri de investitii si dezvoltatori aflati in cautarea celor mai bune oportunitati de investire. Totusi pe langa investitorii seriosi si-au facut aparitia si un numar mare de speculanti interesati doar de profituri facile si rapide. De aceea in momentul in care va hotarati sa faceti o investitie in imobiliare, pentru a evita eventualele neplaceri, va sfatuim sa consultanti o firma de profesionisti in domeniu.

Pentru marea majoritate a romanilor cea mai importanta tranzactie din viata o reprezita achizitionarea unei locuinte. De aceea este esential ca decizia de cumparare sa fie luata in deplina cunostinta de cauza, iar valoarea proprietatii o sa creasca in timp.
